When I was pregnant I became concerned at the difficulty of finding information on the effects of art materials on developing babies. With the help of a genetic counselor, I collected information on common painting materials, particularly pigments, which I subsequently wrote into a paper.
Since the successful bond issue of 2001, the City of Alvin has renovated the former post office to house the Alvin Historical Museum. Sealy, Alvin, Texas, the museum is a major on-going project of the Alvin Museum Society. Has paid for all other improvements through fundraising and generous in-kind gifts from individuals, local businesses and organizations. The Alvin Historical Museum and Gift Shop. Provides a variety of books and other items.
